CHRISTIAN: The perimeter of a rectangle is 336 cm. The width is 20 cm. less than the length. What is the length?

ME: oh wow thats a hard one! i dont think we can help you out with this one here.

CHRISTIAN: awww what!? why the f. .

ISSAC: hey hey whoa watch your language buddy! we got listeners up in here that really dont like to hear that shii i mean stuff

ME: am just kidding kid calm down! ok well why dont we ask our friend isaac to help us out here. . . Isaac?

ISAAC:  this problem is kinda difficult for my level of intellagence haha jk...ok well lets problem a little fun cuz ugh sounds boring to me

ME:  how can you make this fun? it's math...

ISAAC:
1.) First Plug the Perimeter and the width into the perimeter formula.
P= 2l + 2w

336= 2 (l) + (2) l - 20

2.)   Then Distribute
336= 2l + 2l - 40

3.) Combine like terms
336= 4l - 40

4.) Add 40 to the other side
336 = 4l - 40
+40        +40

5.) Divide by 4
376= 4l
-----   ----
4         4

L= 94.
